Rice prices today 12/8: Export rice set a new peak
Rice prices today in the Mekong Delta provinces (Mekong Delta) remained stable, while rice export prices increased sharply by 15 USD / ton compared to yesterday. So far, Vietnam's rice export price has increased by 45 USD compared to August 3.
Rice prices in the Mekong Delta today remained stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of fresh IR 504 rice was at 5,800 VND / kg; Jasmine rice 6,000 VND / kg; OM 9577, OM 9582 were at 5,850 dong / kg; scented radio 8 costs 6,200 VND / kg; flower 9 prices 6,400 VND / kg; Om 6976 5,800 VND / kg. OM 5451 rice alone, due to the low supply, the price continued to increase by 200 VND / kg to 6,000 VND / kg.

According to traders in An Giang and Dong Thap, the rice market had many good changes in the past week. The reason is that the harvest of summer-autumn rice is at the end of the crop, the supply to the market is decreasing, causing prices to inch up.
With rice, the prices of rice varieties NL IR 504 and OM 5451 today leveled off and remained at a stable level. Specifically, the rice price of NL IR 504 is at 9,000 VND / kg; TP IR 504 rice at 10,700 VND / kg. Although decreasing, but according to traders, this price is still 300-500 VND / kg higher than a week ago.
On the world market, Vietnam's rice export prices continued to set new peaks today. Specifically, 5% broken rice at 493 - 497 USD / ton, up 15 USD / ton compared to yesterday and 45 USD / ton compared to August 3. Meanwhile, the export rice price of Thailand has decreased slightly by 3 USD / ton compared to a week ago. Currently, the price of Thai rice of the same type is at 463 - 467 USD / ton. At this price, Vietnam's 5% broken rice is currently 27 USD / ton higher than Thai rice of the same type and 15 USD / ton higher than Indian rice, 80 USD / ton higher than Pakistan's same type.
Experts said that Vietnam's rice export and commodity rice markets in the Mekong Delta in the second half of this year will have movements, in the immediate future, the summer-autumn rice price.
In the domestic market, the price of paddy and rice in the Mekong Delta provinces increased in the first half of July. The price of rice increased at the beginning of the month because farmers were about to harvest the Summer-Autumn rice crop, at that time the supply came from the Winter season. Spring is not much. At the same time, rice and export rice prices recovered well.
