Rice price for export is over 400 USD / ton

After more than a year always below 400 USD / ton, 5% broken rice export price is now above this level.

According to the Vietnam Food Association, as of 11/3, the price of rice export type 5% of Vietnam's plates are traded at $408-412/ton, rice 25% plate has also approximately 400 USD tonnes (from 393-397 USD/ton).

Thus, after more than 1 year, the price of rice export type 5% new plate at over 400 USD/ton. Throughout the year 2019, Rice prices of export type 5% plate are always at less than 400 USD/ton.

Export rice prices continue to increase because businesses are pushing delivery to the Philippines and implementing many old contracts. Malaysia has just signed an additional 30,000 tons of rice 5% of Vietnam's plates, which also contributes to heating more rice market in Vietnam, in the context there are certain concerns about the supply by the influence of severe salty drought in the Mekong Delta.
