Vietnam’s ST25 Rice Wins World’s Best Rice 2025 | Vietnam’s Premium Rice Reinforced on the Global Stage

Vietnam’s ST25 Rice Wins World’s Best Rice 2025

At the 17th Annual World Rice Conference in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Vietnam’s pride — ST25 rice - was once again named the World’s Best Rice 2025, sharing the title with Cambodia’s Phka Romdoul.

This marks the third global victory for ST25, following wins in 2019 and 2023, and represents a major milestone for Vietnam’s growing influence in the premium rice segment.

A Product of Decades of Research and Innovation

ST25 was developed by engineer Ho Quang Cua and his team after decades of research into improving grain quality and aroma. The variety was selectively bred to combine the best characteristics from multiple rice strains - resulting in a rice that is both nutritionally rich and sensorially exceptional.

Its long, translucent grains, pandan-leaf fragrance, and soft texture that stays tender even when cooled have won the hearts of consumers, chefs, and food judges across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Vietnam’s Premium Rice Reputation Reinforced

The recognition of ST25 strengthens Vietnam’s position in the global high-quality rice market, where Cam Rice and other exporters continue to deliver consistent excellence.

Vietnam’s reputation for sustainable farming, full-chain control, and export reliability has made it a trusted origin for partners in the US, Japan, Europe, Australia, and the WANA region (West Asia & North Africa).

ST25’s award-winning profile aligns perfectly with modern global consumption trends - where quality, health, and authenticity drive purchase decisions.

A Shared Pride for Vietnam’s Rice Industry

Beyond the trophy, ST25 represents Vietnam’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and quality assurance.

Each grain is a reflection of decades of agricultural craftsmanship, proudly cultivated in the fertile Mekong Delta and refined through advanced processing and quality control.

As Vietnam continues to rise as a premium rice exporter, Cam Rice remains committed to supporting international partners with reliable sourcing, transparent quality, and competitive pricing.
