Hua Na hydropower lake bed, Que Phong district, Nghe An province dried up due to prolonged hot weather
Currently, about 46,600 households in the North Central provinces are facing difficulties in running water, of which Quang Tri is the province with the highest number of affected households (about 30,000 households). Drought, hot weather have also caused 48 forest fires, affecting nearly 194ha of forest.

Mr. Cuong asked the whole region to study carefully to effectively regulate the volume of water still in the reservoirs; focusing forced pumping with all kinds of capacity to support 26,000 ha of drought; Apply alternating irrigation.
Particularly for the summer-autumn crop, Mr. Cuong suggested thoroughly grasping the motto "Green house is better than old man". In addition, the whole region still has 46,600 households lacking water, so it is necessary to implement water supply solutions so that no households lack water for domestic use.
"Particularly in the field of agriculture, try to select varieties of plants and animals adapted to the conditions of least water consumption, along with applying scientific and technological measures to use water reasonably. ", Mr. Cuong stressed.
